Saturday Travel Day Video
Saturday was a day full of airplanes and airports. We put together a quick video of some of our fun today on the plane and in the airport in Atlanta. Enjoy!
We Are Here!
The team has arrived in New Orleans! Thanks for your prayers - we had a great day. It is 12:30 am here and so we are headed to bed. Below is a 'blog' from one of the students, Emily D. Enjoy! More to come tomorrow. We are in process of uploading some pictures and a brief video that should be available soon. You can access the pictures and video by clicking on the side link.
Hello everyone! This is Emily D. (Hi Dad!) writing to you on the flight from Atlanta to New Orleans! Most of today we spent in the air, and luckily all our flights have gone (mostly) smoothly and have been on time. We departed from Highlands in the bus and arrived at SeaTac, went through security and had time to spare before our long journey to Atlanta began. The flight was just over four hours, during which time most of the team played a trivia game on the touch screens located on the back of each seat. Once in Atlanta, each family group headed off to have dinner together in the two hour layover. Soon after, we boarded the plane and are now hoping to have fast transportation to our hotel for the night. I am really excited to get on the ground and be in New Orleans! Tomorrow we will sightsee in New Orleans and go to Biloxi as well. I am glad to go back and see some familiar places, as I went on the 2006 trip to Biloxi. I am eager to see what God has in store for the team and hope to experience new things through this opportunity. Thank you to all of you who are praying diligently, and I can’t wait to have amazing stories to tell you.

It's Time to Go!
Please be praying for the team as they travel Saturday. The team will meet at the church at 8:15 am to load luggage on the bus and then move to the Worship Center at 8:30 for last minute instructions and a prayer time with family before heading to the airport. The team will fly on Delta from Seattle to Atlanta and then Atlanta to New Orleans. The team is expected to get in late to New Orleans and will pick up their transportation and head to a hotel near the airport for the evening. They will be arriving to the hotel at approximately 12:30 am New Orleans time (or 9:30 Seattle time) and will post an update at that time. Sunday will be a day to tour Biloxi and New Orleans and get settled into Berean Bible Church and learn about the projects for the week. You can check out the New Orleans weather at www.weather.com or visit the host church at www.bereannola.org. More to come! Check back often for student and leader updates along with pictures and video from each day! Most postings will be made in the evenings. Thanks for praying!
